Vikas Ecotech collaborates with King Khalid University, stock hits upper circuit
High-end speciality chemicals provider Vikas Ecotech Limited has announced that its R&D division has joined hands with Saudi Arabia based King Khalid University. The R&D division is a DSIR recognised center of the Ministry of Science & Technology. King Khalid University is affiliated with the Ministry of Education.
"This mutual collaboration will aid to strengthen its R&D Activities, Technology Transfers, for improving and augmenting its product offerings," Vikas Ecotech said in an exchange filing.
The unit has recently filed a patent in collaboration with the King Khalid University on “A Process for the designing of Conducting Polymer Nanocomposites on Activated Carbon Membrane for the Removal of Bacterial Contamination from Polluted Waste Water”.
Vikas Ecotech said that the partnership will help in providing better and affordable, advance-technology backed products.
This technology will develop conducting polymer nanocomposite–based membrane which will be helpful for the removal of E. coli and total coliform from wastewater. These nanocomposites are economically feasible and can find widespread market usage compared to conventional waste water treatment methods, the filing said.
Notably, the government is working on various cutting-edge researches in multiple fields of advance science which are aiming to improve environment, life, beneficial to overall sustainability.
Meanwhile, shares of Vikas Ecotech locked in the upper circuit of 5 per cent on Tuesday, January 17, to quote Rs 3.45.
