United Breweries Q3 Results Preview: Revenue likely to grow 13% to Rs 1,814 crore amid cooling barley rates
Beer and non-alcoholic beverages manufacturer United Breweries Ltd (UBL) is estimated to register a 12.6 per cent increase in standalone revenue to Rs 1,814 crore for the quarter ended December 31, according to Zee Business research.

Analysts expect Bengaluru-headquartered United Breweries, a manufacturer of beer and non-alcoholic beverages, to stage a strong quarterly performance on the back of easing raw material prices.
According to Zee Business research, UBL is estimated to register a standalone net profit of Rs 124 crore for the fiscal third quarter, as against a standalone net loss of Rs 2 crore for the corresponding period a year ago. The analysts peg the beer maker's quarterly revenue to expand 12.6 per cent on a year-on-year basis to Rs 1,814 crore.
UBL is expected to register Rs 213 crore in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) for the quarter ended December 31, 2023, as against Rs 77 crore for the corresponding period a year ago, according to the research.
Zee Business analysts peg United Breweries' margin, a key measure of profitability, for the October-December period at 11.7 per cent, aided by easing barley prices, as against 4.7 per cent for the year-ago period. They estimate the beverage manufacturer's volumes to grow 7.6 per cent on a year-on-year basis.

For the quarter ended September 30, 2023, United Breweries Ltd (UBL) reported a 19.4 per cent fall in standalone net profit to Rs 108 crore with 12.3 per cent growth in revenue to Rs 1,888 crore.
Zee Business analysts had estimated the beer manufacturer's second-quarter profit at Rs 97 crore and revenue at Rs 1,749 crore.
United Breweries (UBL) shares: Past performance
As of February 8, UBL shares had gained 14 per cent in the past year, underperforming a 21 per cent rise in the headline Nifty50 index.
However, the stock finished the December quarter 14.5 per cent stronger, higher than the benchmark index's 10.7 per cent rise.
