Uber Safety Helpline will assist you on real time basis; no number, just swipe it, says official

Cab aggregator Uber today launched a new safety feature in India, wherein, riders will be provided a 24/7 ‘Safety Helpline’. Initially, the programme was launched in Chandigarh on a pilot basis from March this year, but it will now be available across the country. Notably, it will assist Uber users in case of having any altercations with driver, car breakdown, route or safety issue.
Pavan Vaish, Head of Central Operations Uber India and South Asia, told Zee Business that Uber has added new feature to the app in terms of security--the Uber Safety Helpline. While using Uber service, it is obvious that at times you may have been annoyed over route, trip fair or fare or driver's behaviour, therefore, to get a solution to such problem, by calling on this helpline, you would be able to solve your problem related to Uber.
How to use Uber Safety Helpline number
This safety helpline option is built-in that you can find under the ‘shield’ icon. Users simply need to tap on the shield icon, select the ‘Safety Helpline’ option and swipe to make the call.
According to Uber, this helpline will address safety related issues with ride. Your call will be attended at the Uber Call Centre by the experts, and the Cab Aggregator claims that maximum complaints will be resolved on the real time basis.

There is no helpline number as the feature is inbuilt in the App. As you swipe it, helpline number will be dialed, Pavan Vaish added.
