Tata group lifestyle product maker Titan clocks 25% revenue growth in Q2
As investors await a new earnings season on Dalal Street, India Inc has started to report business updates for the quarter ended September 30. Titan--a Tata group manufacturer of jewellery, watches, and other consumer lifestyle-related products--registered growth of 25 per cent in revenue for the July-September period over the corresponding quarter a year ago, according to a regulatory filing.
The Tata group company said it saw sales growth of 26 per cent and 20 per cent in jewellery segment and watches segment sales respectively.
In its eye care business, sales growth stood at 6 per cent, and in the emerging business segment, sales growth was recorded at 14 per cent, according to Titan.
Within its jewellery segment, Titan said sales growth in CaratLane was at 28 per cent, with the total retail store count at 3,171.
Titan Company makes a wide range of products in categories including watches, jewellery, and eyewear. Its popular brands include Titan, Fastrack, Sonata, Titan Raga, Tanishq, Zoya, and CaratLane.
Tata group company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the country's largest IT firm, is scheduled to kick off the earnings season by reporting its quarterly numbers on October 10.
