This company signs contract with Vedanta
The NSE listed Orissa Bengal Carrier with its existing customer Vedanta Limited and has received the Letter of Intent (LoI) for the tender for aluminium finished goods transportation to West cluster, as per an official statement.
Orissa Bengal Carrier Limited (OBCL) has entered into a contract with the mining major Vedanta Limited led by Anil Agarwal. The Raipur Headquartered OBCL has informed the National Stock Exchange (NSE) about the same via an exchange filing on Tuesday, November 01st, 2022.
The NSE listed Orissa Bengal Carrier with its existing customer Vedanta Limited and has received the Letter of Intent (LoI) for the tender for aluminium finished goods transportation to West cluster, as per an official statement.
The period for the tender shall be one year whereas the approximate value of the same shall be Rs 146 crore, the company told the exchange. The company has already accepted the LoI, the statement added.
"We would like to bring to your notice that, Orissa Bengal Carrier Limited has entered into a contract with Vedanta Limited which is an existing customer and has received the Letter of Intent (LOI) for the tender for Aluminium Finished Goods transportation to West Cluster for a period of 1 year and the approximate value of the tender Tender shall be Rs 146 Crores," as per regulatory filing.
The company said that the contract is in the ordinary course of business and none of the promoters or promoter group has any interest in the aforementioned contract and the contract does not fall within the ambit of related party transactions.
