When you think of 'entrepreneur of the year', names of executives of some leading mega-corporations, or even start-ups, would cross your mind. But, Mahindra Chairman Anand Mahindra believes that a 94-year-old woman from Chandigarh actually deserves the crown. In a recent tweet, Mahindra gave the title to Harbhajan Kaur who is making sweets at home and is selling them to make money. The woman went beyond the age barrier to make this a successful business.

In his tweet, Mahindra said that images of millennials in Silicon Valley or Bengaluru trying to build billion dollar unicorns might come to your mind, but he urged that names like that of Kaur, should be included in lists like this.

"When you hear the word ‘start-up’ it brings to mind images of millennials in Silicon Valley or Bengaluru trying to build billion dollar ‘unicorns.’ From now on let’s also include a 94 yr old woman who doesn’t think it’s too late to do a start-up. She’s my entrepreneur of the year," Mahindra tweeted.

His tweet came in response to the one by a user named Madhu Teckchandani. The latter had tagged Mahindra while sharing the story of Harbhajan Kaur.

The business tycoon is quite active on the micro-blogging website and is known for sharing inspiring stories of achievers.
