TCS Recruitment 2018: The Tata Group’s IT arm Tata Consultancy Service (TCS) is recruiting a large number of engineering graduates from top engineering colleges like IITs, NITs and IIITs. The technology service provider is also hiring fresh recruits from a pool of 200 state and private government colleges through online examination. The tech firm adopted this mode to reach maximum number of colleges and engineering graduates across the country.

According to reports, as many as 2,80,000 engineering graduates have taken the online examination conducted earlier this year. The company has taken the digital route in its bid to have a pan India recruitment exam which it has termed as the National Qualifier Test.

The candidates who qualify the National Qualifier Test would be called for an interview. If a candidate is located in an unreachable place, the company would hold an online Interview through video chat.

Ajoy Mukherjee, executive VP and head of global human resources at TCS, told Times of India that about 2,80,000 students have registered on the company’s digital platform – iON for taking the online test. He reportedly stated that aspirants from over 100 cities and 24 states took part. "This is 175 per cent more than the last year when about 1 lakh students had registered for TCS Recruitment," he told ToI.

Notably, the tests were conducted earlier this month, and the TCS is currently in the process to hold interviews.
