TCS announces dividend of Rs 76 per share

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the IT giant of the Tata Group, has announced a third interim dividend of Rs 10 and a special dividend of Rs 66 per equity share with a face value of Rs 1 each. The total dividend declared stands at Rs 76 per share.
Record date and payment details
As per the company’s exchange filing, January 17, 2025, has been fixed as the record date to determine shareholder eligibility for the dividend. The payout is scheduled for February 3, 2025, for shareholders whose names appear on the Register of Members or in the records of the Depositories as beneficial owners as of the record date.
Dividend history and share price performance
TCS is known for rewarding its investors with consistent dividends. In 2024, the company paid dividends on five occasions, totalling Rs 75. In 2023 and 2022, it distributed Rs 117 and Rs 45 in dividends, respectively.
On Thursday, TCS shares ended at Rs 4,036.65 on the BSE, down 1.72 per cent from the previous close of Rs 4,107.50. The stock opened at Rs 4,105.90, with an intra-day high of Rs 4,136.90 and a low of Rs 4,025.45.
“We would like to inform you that at the Board Meeting held today, the Directors have declared a third interim dividend of INR 10 and a special dividend of INR 66 per Equity Share of INR 1 each of the Company,” the company stated in its exchange filing.
