Tata Group company Tata Sons is about to sell 20 per cent stake in Agratas, people familiar with the development told Zee Business.

According to the sources, Singapore-based AESC Apollo Holding will buy Tata Sons' stake in Agratas for about 3,700 crore.

An email was sent to Tata Sons to confirm the development, remained unanswered.

Agratas designs and makes batteries for the automobile and energy sectors. The company has factories in India and the UK, according to its website. 

Agratas is also planning to file for an IPO.
