Tata Motors hikes car prices: Here is what buyers will have to pay for Nexon, Tiago, and Safari
Tata Motors has increased the prices of its passenger vehicles with effect from May 8, 2021. The prices have been hiked depending on the variant and model.

However, customers who have booked Tata passenger vehicles on or before May 7 will be protected from the price hike.

The company in an official statement said that 'For the wellbeing of its business and supporting ecosystem, the Company had recently announced that it has set in motion a comprehensive ‘Business Agility Plan’ to protect and serve the interests of its customers, dealers and suppliers.'
The manufacturer has also announced that the customers whose warranty and free service period (not kms.) are due to expire between April 1, 2021, and May 31, 2021, will be extended till June 30, 2021. The decision has been taken considering the ongoing lockdown across the country.
For customers who are planning to buy Tata passenger vehicles can check the new prices below:
Tata Tiago: The base model of Tata Tiago that is the XE, is now retailing at Rs 4.99 lakh. Meanwhile, XZA+ Dual Tone is selling at Rs 6.95 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) which is Rs 11,000 more than its previous price.
Tata Altroz: the revised price of Altroz stands at Rs 5.79 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) against its previous price of Rs 5.69 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Hiking the price by Rs 10,000, XZ Plus Diesel, is now retailing at Rs 9.55 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Tata Tigor: The price of the car has been increased by up to Rs 10,000 for XZA Plus model, which is now retailing at Rs 7.73 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). While the price of XE variant is Rs 5.59 lakh.
Tata Nexon: After the rate revision, Tata Nexon’s base model’s price will come at around Rs 7.19 lakh, up by Rs 10,000. The XE variant was earlier selling at Rs 7.09 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Meanwhile, the XZA+ (O) Dual Tone variant is retailing at Rs 12.95, up by Rs 16,000.
Tata Harrier SUV: The XE variant is now selling at Rs 14.29 lakh compared to the earlier price of Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The price of XZA Plus Dual Tone’s has been increased to Rs 20.81 lakh from Rs 20.85 lakh.
Tata Safari SUV: Increasing by Rs 30,000, the XE variant is now retailing at Rs 14.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Likewise, the price of the XZA Plus now stands at Rs 21.61 lakh against Rs 21.45 lakh earlier.
