Swiggy introduces its XL fleet for large-scale food orders and launches Bolt for 10-minute deliveries. These services boost efficiency as Swiggy prepares for an IPO to expand its market leadership.
Swiggy, one of India's leading online food delivery platforms, has officially launched its 'XL' fleet, designed to handle large-scale orders such as wedding and party deliveries. The service was formally introduced in Gurugram on Saturday, coinciding with the Haryana assembly elections.
The new 'XL' fleet is tailored to meet the needs of bulk food orders, ensuring faster and more efficient delivery for events that require larger quantities of food. During its official launch, Swiggy’s 'XL' EV fleet delivered 3,500 food boxes across over 580 polling stations in Gurugram and Badshahpur constituencies. This service was provided free of charge to the district administration, showcasing the company’s commitment to community service.
Just days prior, Swiggy introduced another major service, 'Bolt', which offers 10-minute food deliveries, revolutionising the speed of food delivery in select cities. Both services reflect Swiggy's aggressive expansion strategy as it gears up for an initial public offering (IPO).
Siddharth Bhakoo, National Business Head of Swiggy’s Food Marketplace, noted that services like 'XL' and 'Bolt' are playing a significant role in driving growth in India’s food and beverage (F&B) sector. He added that the 'XL' fleet will be rolled out in more cities soon.
With Swiggy’s new offerings, including the high-speed 'Bolt' service and the event-ready 'XL' fleet, the company is solidifying its position as a market leader in the food delivery industry while catering to a broader range of customer needs.
