Swiggy CTO Dale Vaz resigns, Madhusudhan Rao to join as the new CTO
Vaz is an alumnus of Manipal Institute Of Technology, where he pursued his Bachelors in Computer Sciences. Later he completed his MBA in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts.
Dale Vaz, Swiggy's Chief Technology Officer, of the food and grocery delivery aggregator, Swiggy has resigned from the company after being at the position for nearly five years. Before joining Swiggy as the CTO, Vaz had worked at Amazon for more than a decade. Madhusudhan Rao, who has been with the company for over four years will be taking over the responsibility as the new CTO.
Madhusudhan Rao is currently the senior vice president of ConsumerTech and FinTech (Engg and Product) at Swiggy.
Vaz had joined Swiggy as the head of engineering and data science and became the CTO in 2020.
Vaz is an alumnus of Manipal Institute Of Technology, where he pursued his Bachelor’s in Computer Sciences. Later he completed his MBA in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts.
Rao is also an ex-employee of Amazon, where he worked as a software engineer during the early days of his career.
The news of the resignation of Vaz came days after Swiggy Instamart chief Karthik Gurumurthy on Friday announced that he is going on sabbatical.
Karthik Gurumurthy in his LinkedIn post announced that he is planning to take a 'sabbatical'. Swiggy co-founder Phani Kishan Addepalli will be taking over the responsibility as the new Swiggy Instamart chief .
In his post, Swiggy Instamart chief Karthik Gurumurthy has thanked the competitors and said that he has taken this break to rejuvenate himself.
Karthik Gurumurthy was also serving as the head/ Senior Vice President at this grocery delivery platform. Gurumurthy is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
