Suzlon wins 50.40 MW order; shares climb 2%

Suzlon Group on Monday announced that it has won repeat order of 50.40 mega watts from a leading power utility.

The order consists installation of 24 units of S97 120 meters all steel hybrid wind turbine generator with a rated capacity of 2.1 megawatts each.
This would be the world's tallest all-steel hybrid tower which will combine both lattice and tubular structures, designed indigenously to harness the enhanced availability of wind resources at higher altitudes making low wind sites viable, added Suzlon.
Project is scheduled for completion in Kutch, Gujarat by March 2017.
Shares of Suzlon Energy was trading at Rs 17.73 per share on BSE, up by 2.19% at 10.26 am.
