Low-cast domestic airline SpiceJet is all se to launch new daily flight services to connect 12 cities in the country from January 20. These flight will connect non-metro cities including Dehradun, Jammu, Jaipur, Amritsar, Jaipur, Varanasi, Madurai, Hyderabad and Vijayawada.

Giving this information, Head of Communications, SpiceJet, Tushar Srivastava, tweeted, "@flyspicejet to launch 12 new domestic flights from Jan 20. 1st #airline to launch daily direct flights connecting #Dehradun with #Jammu, #Jaipur & #Amritsar. To introduce addl frequencies on Jaipur-#Varanasi, #Chennai-#Madurai & #Hyderabad–#Vijayawada routes." 

The domestic airline will begin the flight service for the first time on Dehradun-Jammu, Dehradun-Jaipur, Dehradun-Amritsar route, besides increasing frequencies on Jaipur-Varanasi, Chennai-Madurai and Hyderabad–Vijayawada routes. 

The airline will fly Chennai-Madurai route only on Tueaday, while other places will have daily flights. 

The domestic airline firm has decided to charge Rs 3814 for Dehradun-Jammu, Rs 3396 for Dehradun-Jaipur, and Rs 3787 for Jaipur-Dehradun. Rest of the charges for different routes can be found in the chart given below.

The airline stated that it will deploy its regional jets Bombardier Q400s to cater to the new routes, thereby strengthening its network across the North and the South. 

Notably, the ailine faced wrath of  Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for having a mile-high party in the new year on December 31, 2018. The DGCA has sought explanation from SpiceJet after a purported video showed passengers indulging in New Year revelry onboard a flight to Amristar from Goa, a source told PTI.
