India's low-cost or budget airline Spicejet has decided to sell clothes and apparel, apart from air tickets.

The airline announced launch of its retail e-commerce venture -- SpiceStyle.

“Initially conceived as an in-flight only service, SpiceStyle, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of SpiceJet, now exists in the form of an e-commerce portal (www.spicestyle.com),” Spicejet said.

For its brand store the company has tied up with Amazon.in and will be offering 25% discount to select customers.

“In a new initiative, SpiceStyle has joined hands with the global ecommerce giant, Amazon.in to launch an all new brand store. The strategic alliance will offer SpiceStyle’s entire portfolio of brands on the shopping portal’s ‘Prime’ section at special launch prices offering discounts at flat 25%,” the airline said.

Earlier in March the company had announced its foray into the retail segment with stores and malls in the metro cities that would sell products under the ‘Spice’ brand.
