Delhi to Kanpur flight operations of budget carrier SpiceJet will be launched from July 3. This is under the Narendra Modi government's air regional connectivity scheme UDAN. The company said in a statement that tickets on this route will be priced at Rs 2,313 (all inclusive). 
Now, passengers from Kanpur can travel to many other cities both on SpiceJet's domestic as well as international network. Earlier this month, the airline launched daily flights to Adampur airport in Jalandhar under the regional connectivity scheme. SpiceJet had started operations from Chennai to Hubli from May 14, 2018. It became its fifth destination under the Regional Connectivity Scheme. SpiceJet will operate six daily UDAN flights with the addition of Hubli-Chennai and Hubli-Hyderabad UDAN routes.
 
Other airlines too are launching service to various regions under the scheme. Earlier this month, Jet Airways also had come up with fares starting at as low as Rs. 967 on select routes under the scheme., Jet Airways said it will operate new flights on the Lucknow-Allahabad-Lucknow route with RCS seats at Rs. 967 whereas the the Patna-Allahabad-Patna routes fare would be Rs. 1,216.
Regional Connectivity Scheme or UDAN scheme:

The Civil Aviation Ministry had launched the Regional Connectivity Scheme or UDAN on 21 October 2016. The scheme aims to provide air connectivity to smaller towns and hilly terrains at affordable prices. This is tha initiative of the government to connect domestic airports with international airports. Bhopal, Indore and Raipur domestic airports will be converted to international airports under the initiative. However, it will depend on factors like traffic potential, facilities like a runway length of 9000 feet to cater to medium capacity long-range aircraft, among others.
