Ambiguity over BS-IV norms implementation may hurt pre-sales of automobile firms

Bajaj Auto's MD Rajiv Bajaj had criticised the move my some automakers seeking deferment and had asked SIAM to exclude Bajaj Auto from the letter that was being sent to the government for the extension of the BS-IV deadline.

Bajaj Auto had adhered to the BS-IV norms and had all its bikes in compliance way before the deadline, it said.

Many other two-wheeler and car manufactures like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai and others are BS-IV ready.
