Sky Mall in SpiceScreen: Budget airline company SpiceJet on Wednesday announced the launch of 'Sky Mall' on its in-flight entertainment platform, SpiceScreen. It is the first-ever Indian airline to offer authentic online shopping experience in-flight, the company claims. Passengers can buy the product at 36000 feet in the air. The in-flight online shopping experience is curated by the e-commerce portal, Snapdeal. It will feature products and deals from leading categories like apparels, jewellery range, electronics, and cosmetics among others.

We hope to continue to delight our passengers with enhanced services and offerings,” Debojo Maharshi, Chief Business Officer of SpiceJet said.
Passengers on all domestic flights operated by SpiceJet can now browse and pick from a catalogue of high-quality electronics, fashion accessories, headphones, mobile chargers and other items, specially curated by Snapdeal. Confirmation for orders placed in-flight will be obtained on landing and items will be home delivered pan-India.

SpiceScreen – the complimentary in-flight entertainment system offers passengers seamless access to a wide range of indulging content on the go. SpiceScreen is a first-of-its-kind, light-in-weight, wireless entertainment system developed indigenously by SpiceJet’s team along with a local technology start-up, Mojoboxx that enables seamless delivery of content on to the personal devices of the passengers through the Wi-Fi network.
Unlike traditional in-flight entertainment systems, flyers can easily access SpiceScreen on any of their hand-held devices – a smartphone, tablet or a laptop by simply connecting to the on-board wireless network by following a few easy steps.
