India Fights Corona: To strengthen India's fight against the Coronavirus and strengthen pan India lockdown, the e-commerce portal ShopClues has completely banned cash on delivery payment mode. The company has announced today that it will continue to deliver essential items at the doorstep of its customers but it would take contactless payments only. The company said that it has taken this step to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus through people-to-people contact.
Speaking on the decision taken by the e-commerce portal Vikrant Pathak, Senior Director - Logistics at ShopClues said, “The safety of our employees and customers is of utmost priority for us. To curb the spread of this virus we have to fight it. We are delivering our products to our customers while adhering to all Government guidelines. We are using thermal scanners to monitor our staff’s temperatures and have provided them with essential safety items like masks, gloves and sanitisers. We also have soap dispensers with a sufficient number of basins across our offices and warehouses.”
