Retail department stores drew up the welcome wagon for sales once again. ‘End of Year’ and ‘End of Season’ sales have already begun offering hefty discounts on products. E-commerce sites have put up attractive sales in this Christmas and New Year’s week as well.

Stores like Shoppers Stop, Pantaloons and Lifestyle, along with brands such as Charles & Keith, Massimo Dutti announced their sales this week, a report by Live Mint said. The report also cited

Shoppers Stop has announced up to 51% off from December 23. Pacific India cited running weekend promotions with about 60-70% of the brands.

Future Group’s Big Bazaar is launching mega shopping festival ‘Public Holiday Sale’ from December 22 to December 25. A report by ET said the sale will be held across more than 240 Big Bazaar stores in the country.

Early sales began on December 22 and will go right through Christmas day.

Retailers have been facing tough competition from e-commerce websites.

Myntra recently announced its End of Reason Sale offering up to 80% off on products. Myntra said it will showcase over five lakh styles from 2000 global and domestic brands.

Amazon India is hosting its ‘Wardrobe Refresh’ sale with discounts between 40% to 80%. The e-commerce giant is also providing instant discounts on payment with HDFC cards and 20% off on Amazon Pay balance.

In its End of Year Bonanza, Flipkart is offering customers up to 90% off. Deals are available on footwear, watches, millinery, bags, accessories and apparel.

Tata Cliq has also put together a sale this time around offering 25% off on macbooks, 50% off on apparel and men’s footwear. The site is also hosting an end of season sale offering up to 30% off.
