Data war is being fought fiercely in India nowadays. The reason behind this is data consumption, which has increased 15 times in India as compared to last three years, thanks to Reliance Jio's heavy offers at cheap rates. Almost all telcos have entered the tariff war with Bharti Airtel trying to give neck-to-neck competition to RJio.

Trai data has shown that the monthly data consumption was at 0.26GB in 2014 which has grown to 4GB in 2017. The data prices have fallen sharply post the launch of Reliance Jio. The Mukesh Ambani led company has been giving sleepless nights to rivals, however, looks like Airtel has managed to give a scare or two to RJio when it comes to most affordable prepaid recharge pack. 

In most affordable sachets, Airtel has Rs 98 recharge pack, while RJio has the similar one. But what is more exciting, is that Airtel offers 3GB data at Rs 98 with the validity of 28 days. 

Whereas Reliance Jio offers 2 GB data with the validity of 28 days at same price which is Rs 98.

However, Airtel fails when it comes to voice calls, because RJio under the same plan also offers unlimited call and 300 SMS for the period. Apart from that, RJio also gives complimentary subscription on Jio Apps.
