Tariff plan comparison story on which monthly recharge is best suited for you.
Tweaking monthly plans is almost a daily feature by telecom operators. Recently, Bharti Airtel and Idea Cellular revised recharge plans to include more calling and data benefits.
These plans were in the range of Rs 399.
When announcing the Jio Happy New Year offer for 2017, Managing Director of Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani said the most of Jio subscribers used less than 1GB data per day. Shortly after that Jio launched Rs 303 monthly recharge as its flagship plan that offered Prime members 1GB a day.
Picking up the queue from Jio, a trend among other operators emerged focussing on similarly priced plans.
Listed down below are the benefits offered by each operator on these plans.
Airtel’s Rs 399 plan
The Rs 399 plan is an Airtel postpaid plan. The operator has yet again revised this plan to now include 20GB of data, and unlimited roaming outgoing calls.
Airtel’s prepaid Rs 399 plan offers 1GB of 3G/4G data per day for a total of 84 days. It also serves up unlimited local, STD, and roaming voice calls, as well as 100 SMSes per day to its subscribers.
Idea’s Rs 398 plan
Though Idea has only revised this plan for its Andhra Pradesh and Telangana subscribers, this plan has been listed as a national tariff voucher on the company’s website.
The total validity of this plan has been listed as 70 days, however, for AP and Telangana users, benefits can last up to 84 days.
This prepaid plan offers its subscribers unlimited local/STD/roaming calls along with 1GB data of 4G/3G/2G speed per day. The plan also offers 100 local/STD SMS/day.
Vodafone’s Rs 399 plan
The second largest operator is offering local, STD, roaming calls and 100 SMS per day within India on subscribing to this plan.
It tops it off with 1GB data offering per day at 4G/3G speed. This plan is also valid for 70 days.
Reliance Jio’s Rs 399 plan
Jio has revised the price of the plan from the earlier listed Rs 459 to Rs 399. In this plan, subscribers will get a total of 126GB data ‘at high speed’. Jio has not specified the real speed of this plan.
The FUP has been capped at 1.5GB per day.
This plan also comes at the side of unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS per day.
