Reliance Jio to launch 4G feature phones priced below Rs 1800
Newcomer into the telecom industry is rumoured to rollout its latest technology of 4G feature phones. We tell you its speculated price and specifications.

After moving the telecom sector with its entry last year, Reliance Jio may launch its own 4G VoLTE-enabled feature phones at an affordable price soon.
The price of the phone has been debated over as some reports said it would be priced anywhere between Rs 999 and Rs 1500. A report by Gizbot on Monday said the Qualcomm chipset variant would be priced at Rs 1,798 and the Spreadtrum variant would be priced at Rs 1,734.
With its launch of feature phone variants, Jio is expected to woo customers who favour affordable phones.
Jio’s feature phone is rumoured to have a 2.4-inch screen with 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage space along with a microSD card support.
The phone will also pack a 2-megapixel rear camera and VGA front camera. Jio’s phone will also have an option to connect to Wi-Fi, Near-field communication (NFC) and GPS.

Like all feature phones, Jio’s latest will also have an alphanumeric keyboard below the screen. However, the phone may also come with shortcut keys to the Jio apps like - MyJio, Jio Live TV, Jio video and Jio Music.
The Gizbot report also cited the availability of Reliance Jio 4G SIM cards as the phone goes on sale and could be targeting a total sale of 50 million units this year.
