Reliance Jio reworks its 4G data plans
Reliance Jio on Tuesday revealed new plans for its prepaid and postpaid subscriber base on its website.
The company has listed three postpaid plans for Jio Prime members (Rs 309, 509 and 999). The three plans are valid for a month for subsequent recharges but can extend upto 84 days in case its a subscriber's first recharge.
The 4G data available in these plans are 30 GB, 60 GB and 60 GB respectively with no daily restriction on the Rs 999 plan while the first two come with restrictions of 1 Gb and 2 GB of 4G data downloads each day.
Prepaid Plans
Rs 19: For this plan which lasts only a day, Jio Prime members would get 200MB while its non-Prime members would get only 100MB of 4G data. SMS and local and STD calling are unlimited and free under this plan.
Rs 49: Under this plan Prime members would get 600MB while non-Prime would get 300MB for a period of three days. SMS and local and STD calling are unlimited and free under this plan.
Rs 96: With a total validity of seven days, this plan offers 7GB to its Prime members and only 600MB to its non-Prime users. Fair Usage Policy (FUP) has been capped at 1GB per day. This plan also offers SMS and local and STD calling free of cost and unlimited.
Rs 149: Under this plan non-Prime users would get 1GB while Prime members would get 2GB for a period of 28 days. There is no FUP prescribed under this plan. SMSes however have been capped at 300 per cycle with unlimited local and STD calling.

What’s new?
Subscribers of all plans higher than Rs 309 will not be available for those who have availed of its Summer Surprise offer which has now been discontinued.
Non-prime members will have to become Prime members to avail tariff plans higher than Rs 309.
Rs 309: Under this plan the Prime members on their first recharge can avail of 84GB data with FUP capped to 1GB per day for a period of 84 days. Subsequent recharges under this plan would give subscribers only 28GB data for a period of 28 days.
Rs 509: Subscribers can get 168 GB at 4G speed with FUP at 2GB per day for a period of 84 days. Subsequent recharges under this scheme would give its subscribers 56GB for a period of 28 days.
Rs 999: Under this plan the customers will get 120GB with no data capped per day for a period of 120 days. The next recharge would give people 60GB for a period of 60 days.
Rs 1999: A total of 185GB is being offered on the first recharge for a period of 150 days post which subscribers will have to pay the same amount for 125GB for a period of only 90 days.
Rs 4999: For this plan subscribers will get 410GB for a period of 240 days and after that 350GB for 180 days.
Rs 9999: Subscribers of this plan will be getting 810 GB per recharge for 420 days and thereafter 750GB for 360 days only.
The FUP for all plans mentioned above also entail that post the conclusion of 4G data quota customers will be able to browse at 128 Kbps.
The Rs 309 and Rs 509 plans had replaced the Rs 303 and Rs 499 plans, respectively, when the Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan offer.

Postpaid Plans:
The three postpaid plans have been made available to Prime subscribers only.
Rs 309: Under this plan subscribers will get 90GB with FUP at 1GB/day for a period of 90days or three months. Subsequent recharges will give the customer 30GB for one month.
Rs 509: For this plan customers will get 180 GB with FUP at 2GB/day for a period of 90 days thereafter customers will get 60GB per month.
Rs 999: Subscribers of this plan will get 180GB, post consumption of 4G data speed will be reduced to 128 Kbps for three months. Post the first recharge customers will get 60 GB for one month only.
