Reliance Jio impact: Mukesh Ambani added over Rs 6500 crore to his wealth today; tops billionaire chart for the day
Since Reliance Jio's launch in November last year, till date, shares of the company have risen 43%.
Reliance Industries shares climbed 3.94% on BSE on Monday, adding over $1 billion, or Rs 6500-odd crore to its CMD Mukesh Ambani's wealth.
Shares of Reliance Industries closed at Rs 1371.20 per share on BSE, touching its 52-week high of Rs 1380 per share during the day before closing at nearly Rs 9 cheaper.

On Monday, the company's market capitalisation rose to Rs 4,45,815.10 crore as against Rs 427982.49 crore on Friday.
Bloomberg's Billionaire index show that Mukesh Ambani added $1.02 billion, over Rs 6,500 crore to his wealth on April 3, 2017. Only Jeff Bezos, founder, Amazon Inc came close to Ambani with his wealth addition of $1.03 billion.
Ambani is also the only Indian to make it to top 50 billionaires in the world list of Bloomberg.
Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries, has been riding high on its recent launch of telecom arm Reliance Jio.
