Reliance Defence picks Kartik Subramaniam as CEO
Ship building and heavy industries company, Reliance Defence and Engineering Ltd. (RDEL) announced the appointment of Kartik Subramaniam as Chief Executive Officer on Sunday.
“Reliance Defence and Engineering Ltd has informed BSE that the Board of Directors of the Company has approved the appointment of Cmde. Kartik Subramaniam (Retd.) as the Chief Executive Officer (‘CEO’) and Key Managerial Personnel (‘KMP’) of the Company with effect from April 01, 2017,” the company said in a BSE filing.
The company said that Vice Admiral H.S. Malhi, CEO, would be retiring with pension from the services of the company.
Malhi who was in the Indian Navy became Vice Admiral at Reliance Defence in July 2015 and immediately assumed charge as Group President and Chief Executive Officer of the company.
On Friday shares of RDEL closed up 0.52% to Rs 57.65 per share on BSE.
