Rajini effect: PVR shares surge 2% as Kabali hit theaters today
PVR joined the bevy of brands and companies associated with the film.
The shares of PVR Cinemas surged nearly 2% on the back of release of South Indian superstar Rajinikanth's film "Kabali".
At 1031 hours, the shares of the company were trading at Rs 1113.20, up 1.92%. It touched a high at Rs 1124.75 and low at Rs 1101.
As per the media reports, the multiplex chain PVR joined the bevy of brands and companies associated with the film. The company is the official partner of the film which released today.
This is for the first time in the South Indian film industry, that such an association between an exhibition chain and a film has been made, Business Standard reported.
