Rajan Anandan quits Google to join Sequoia: Here is a look at his journey

Rajan Anandan, who has been responsible for driving Google India's growth has decided to part ways with company but will keep serving in his role until the end of April. Vikas Agnihotri, who is currently serving as Google's country director for sales, will carry forward as interim responsibility until the company finds a new managing director. Anandan was associated with Google for eight years. ''8 amazing years. 850million internet users across India and SEA. Many billions of revenue and fastest growing region in the world. Scott Beaumont, President, Google Asia Pacific, in a statement said, "We are grateful to Rajan for his huge contribution to Google over the past eight years. His entrepreneurial zeal and leadership has helped grow the overall internet ecosystem in India and Southeast Asia, and we wish him all the best in his new adventures”.

Rajan is all set to join Silicon Valley’s marquee venture fund Sequoia Capital after Google. Who is Rajan Anandan?

Rajan Anandan is presently the Vice President at Alphabet Inc's Google South East Asia. In his role with Google, he is responsible for Google's operations in India. Rajan Anandan is also an active angel investor right from very early stage of technology companies and startups in India. Rajan likes funding technology companies and has invested in internet, mobile and software startups in India.

The technology enthusiast has invested in more than 45 technology startups in India, as an angel investor and is one of the most prolific angel investors in India with investments in over 70 companies including Druva, Capillary Technologies, WebEngage, DataWeave, Instamojo and Frrole.
