Pepperfry partners with Quikr to boost furniture exchange program
Pepperfry inks a pack with Quikr to boost its furniture exchange programme. The 4-month-old programme, which was launched in partnership with Zefo, the online marketplace for pre-owned furniture, has been extended to Hyderabad and Pune through the tie-up with Quikr, beyond the existing cities of Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Bengaluru and Mumbai, reports ET.
Customers can sell their old furniture on Quikr's consumer platform Quikr Bazaar in exchange for gift cards that can be redeemed on Pepperfry through this partnership.
According to the report, customers will receive a fair value for their old furniture across a range of furniture pieces like beds, sofas, dining sets, tables, storage and office chairs.
"Through this programme, we look forward to offering new and improved ways for consumers to shop for home and furniture products on Pepperfry and provide the best and fair value for their old furniture," Hussaine Kesury, Vice President & Business Head - Furniture Category, Pepperfry told ET.
The customers can choose the option to sell the furniture on Quikr while accessing the furniture exchange programme on the website, in order to avail this service. The team in Quikr will evaluate, offer fair market price and complete the pick-up service for the furniture, post the sale.
"Through this programme we are able to provide one channel to consumers who want to buy or sell their furniture at the best price when they are looking to upgrade their lifestyle. On top of it, our pioneering doorstep service is able to close the transaction with hassle-free logistics across the country," Sarath Chandra Gudlavalleti, VP Quikr Bazaar told ET.
