Ola launched Ola Maps after entirely exiting Google Maps on July 5, 2024, due to the high costs associated with the third-party service. This move allows the company to incur no additional costs for the feature. According to Aggarwal, Google Maps charged around Rs 100 crore annually for providing the mapping technology.
