Vodafone India has rejigged its data benefits for prepaid recharges of Rs 399 and Rs 199.  Vodafone's Rs 399 prepaid plan, which earlier offered 1.4GB data per day for 70 days with overall data benefit of 98GB, now offers 1GB data per day for 84 days or 84 GB in its entire validity period. Which means despite the increase in the validity period of the recharge, it is now offering 14 GB less than the earlier plan.

On the other hand, now Vodafone's Rs 199 prepaid plan provides 2.8GB additional data for 28 days. Now the plan offers 1.5GB daily data against 1.4GB daily data to its users or data benefit of 42GB with a validity of 28 days, according to Telecom Talk. It also offers unlimited local and national calling, SMS and roaming. However, the 1.5GB data comes with FUP limit. The data speed goes down when the limit is exhausted. 

Vodafone's Rs 399 also offers unlimited STD calling, 100 SMS and roaming. The earlier Rs 399  plan would offer 1.4GB of daily data for 70 days. 

Vodafone's Rs 399 and Rs 199 prepaid plans also come with a daily and weekly max calling cap. A user can make only 250 minutes calls per day and the maximum weekly cap on calling is 1000 minutes. Once users cross the FUP limit, they are charged at 1.2 paise per second or Re 1 per minute depending on the usage. There is also a cap on data usage. When users exhaust their FUP limit, they are charged 50 paise per MB, the report said.

Bharti Airtel also recently revised its Rs 199 and Rs 399 prepaid plans. Its Rs 199 prepaid plan now comes with 1.5GB data per day. On the other hand, Airtel's Rs 399 plan now offers 1GB data per day for 84 days across all the circles in India. Its Rs 448 prepaid plan now offers 1.5GB data per day. Earlier, Rs 399 plan would offer 1.4GB data with 70 days validity.
