Monsanto India shares trade 1% higher in pre-open
Monsanto said that Bayer has agreed to pay $66 billion to buy the company. The transaction comes to $128 per share, or 44% premium.

Shareholders of Monsanto India gave their thumbs-up to the merger between the company and Bayer. Shares of Monsanto India were trading up by 1%, or Rs 26.75 per share on the BSE in pre-open trade on Thursday.
Monsanto said that Bayer has agreed to pay $66 billion to buy the company. The transaction comes to $128 per share, or 44% premium.
The company further said that the merger will create annual synergies of about $1.5 billion after three years.
