MobiKwik has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to consider the passage of the Women Reservation Bill, which aimed to reserve 33% of seats in Lok Sabha and all state legislative assemblies for women. Upasana Taku wrote a letter to PM Modi on Women's Day and also addressed it to top women MPs in the Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha and Chief Ministers.

“Permit us to humbly request your esteemed government to consider empowerment of women in the country as a prime goal. In this regard, I would like to bring to your kind attention, the women’s reservation bill in India that was drafted with the objective of empowering both legislative houses with higher female participation. We feel that this will be instrumental in increasing the share of women in policy decision making and ensuring a better India for women,” said Taku in the letter.

MobiKwik in the letter also highlighted the steps they have taken to empower women especially in rural areas. “We at MobiKwik, have started many initiatives in urban and rural India with the objective of educating and empowering women folk. Notable among them are our programmes such as Internet Saathi and MGullak. We also partner with Google and Tata Trust in implementing at the ground level,” she further said.

She also further said that MobiKwik is pledging to contribute to women for empowerment of women in India.
