Maruti Suzuki’s July sales highest till now in FY17
What’s interesting is that the July sales has been highest in regards to domestic sales by far in the current financial year.
Maruti Suzuki- the one of the largest carmaker in India, has sold 1,37,116 units in July, 2016, registering growth of 12.7% compared to 1,21,712 units in the corresponding period of the previous month.
Interestingly, Maruti recorded the highest sales in terms of domestic market in the current financial year.
In July, 2016, the company recorded 1,25,778 units, rising by 14% versus 1,10,405 units in July 2015.
What’s interesting is that the July sales has been highest in regards to domestic sales by far in the current financial year.
Even though domestic sales were higher in the month of April, 2016, it was still below in the terms of units.
However, the total export sales was not much exciting, it stood at 11,338 units, growing by 0.3% from 11,307 units June 2015.
Noticeably, the export sales is higher till now in the financial year 2017.
The July sales was boosted by robust performance from utility vehicle and mid-size vehicle.
The SUV segment clocked nearly three-folds jump to 17382 units as against 6916 in Jule 2015. While mid-size vehicle also contributed nearly two-time higher growth to 5162 units from 2099 units in July 2015.
Till now Maruti Suzuki’s sales have risen by 5% to 4,85,559 units from 4,63,041 units in the previous year.
The share price of Maruti Suzuki was trading at 4877.25 up by 122.05 points or 2.57%.
