Indian automobile manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki on Friday launched the Baleno RS priced at Rs 8.69 lakh ex-showroom price Delhi.

“The Baleno RS brings to India Suzuki’s latest innovation - 1.0 litre Boosterjet Direct Injection Turbo Charged engine - which delivers 20% more power and 30% more torque than a 1.2 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine,” the company said in a BSE filing.

The car has been launched in a single variant – Alpha and has an engine capacity of 998 cc and peak torque available for a wide range of RPM (150 Nm @1700- 4500 RPM).

Baleno RS will be available in Fire Red, Pearl Arctic White, Premium Urban Blue, Premium Silver, Granite Grey, Ray Blue and Autumn Orange colours.

Maruti Suzuki’s latest innovation has a one-litre Boosterjet which has combination of two technologies - Direct Injection System and a Turbo charger.

The company said that the Baleno RS also has ISOFIX child-seat restrain anchorages in addition to dual airbags, seatbelts with pre-tensioners and force limiters.
