Vijay Mallya wants to return to India
On April 15, after the Enforcement Directorate recommendation, the Ministry of External Affairs had suspended Mallya's passport.
Vijay Mallya now wants to return to India.
According to news agency ANI, Mallya, who has been charged under money-laundering case, has submitted an application to trial court seeking to reverse decision to revoke his passport.
The tweet said, "Vijay Mallya submits before Delhi's Patiala House Court that he wants to return to India but can't come due to revocation of Passport."

Mallya's counsel in court said that he has clear intention to co-operate but it has become "impossible" to travel back to the country.

On April 15, after the Enforcement Directorate recommendation, the Ministry of External Affairs had suspended Mallya's passport.
Last week, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) issued its second attachment order for assets worth Rs 6,630 crore against beleagured businessman as it seized his farmhouse, flats and fixed deposits (FDs) in connection with its money laundering case against him and his associates.
Following to ED's move, the chief metropolitan magistrate court in Mumbai issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against Mallya and now defunct Kingfisher Airlines Ltd chief executive Sanjay Agarwal.
Mallya owes over Rs 6000 crore plus interest to a consortium of 17 lenders, led by State Bank of India.
