L&T Construction announced on Monday that it has won orders worth Rs 6,024 crore across its various business segments.

"The company has bagged businesses namely in areas such as power transmission and distribution, water and effluent treatment, building and factories, transportation infrastructure, heavy civil infrastructure and metallurgical and material handling," cited Larsen and Toubro (L&T) in a filing to the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Monday. 

L&T Construction is a construction arm of Larsen and Toubro (L&T) which has presence in over 30 countries worldwide. 

Its power transmission and distribution business has bagged engineering, procurement and construction orders worth Rs 1,721 crore. 

"The scope of work includes construction of primary substations, extra high voltage cabling and overhead transmission lines across various locations in the Middle East," it said in the statement. 

The company's water and effluent treatment business has secured orders worth Rs 1,497 crore  in various sectors. It includes work such as supply and laying of water pipelines, wastewater network and design and construction of water treatment plants and wastewater treatment plants across locations in India. 

L&T Construction's building and factories business has bagged orders worth Rs 1,131 crore in various sectors. It secured the order in the factories sector from a reputed client. This includes work such as construction of a cement plant in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

For its transportation and infrastructure business, the company has won orders worth Rs 780 crore in the Middle East. 

"The scope of work includes construction of road, an interchange, underpass, camel crossings, roundabouts, utilities along with other associated works," L&T Construction said in a statement. 

Similarly, its heavy civil infrastructure business has bagged orders worth Rs 630 crore while its metallurgical and material handling business has won orders worth Rs 265 crore, it further said.
