LIC Housing records 19% rise in Q3 net profit, shares gain

LIC Housing Finance reported 19% year-on-year growth in its third quarter for December 31, 2016.

The company registered Rs 499.26 crore this Q3, which was up by 19.18% compared to Rs 418.90 crore in similar period of the previous year. However, the net profit was sequentially up by 0.90% from Rs 494.76 crore of the preceding quarter. 

Total income from operations stood at Rs 3527.93 crore, witnessing rise of 12.38% year-on-year (yoy) and 2.06% quarter-on-quarter (qoq). 

While this Q3, other incomes was at Rs 20.78 crore, which was up by 18.87% yoy but down by 37.89% qoq. 

Shares of LIC Housing Finance were trading at Rs 538.10 per share on BSE, up by Rs 7.65 or 1.44%.
