A technical glitch on Reliance Jio’s website revealed its Jio Fiber plans for a brief moment for its upcoming broadband services for homes – JioFiber.

The plans preview was viewed by Redditor -nromil, a registered user of the website Reddit and by disabling the redirect page was able to capture the information, a report by MediaNama said on Tuesday.

JioFiber plan would offer 100GB of data per month at 100Mbps of speed for three months for free. An installation charge of Rs 4500 would also be applicable.

The report also revealed the cities in which JioFiber registrations would be launched. They were - Ahmedabad, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Surat, Vadodara, and Vishakhapatnam.

Jio has also index marked certain apartment complexes and buildings under each PIN code, the report added.

It was earlier speculated that the JioFiber service would be launched near Diwali of this year.

Reliance Jio's customer care team officially revealed the names of the cities in which JioFiber trials were being carried out earlier in May this year. These included Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Ahmedabad, Jamnagar, Surat and Vadodara.

The telecom operator may also provide its own custom router, as the website indicated. Along with this a sign that read – ‘I am interested in enhancing Jio coverage in my building,’ was also revealed.

This could mean that Jio could be building a mesh network of routers to improve coverage to the network for all users, the report added.
