The Mukesh Ambani backed Reliance Jio continues to give sleepless nights to telecom giant Bharti Airtel. In its 41st AGM meet, parent Reliance Industries has announced launch of Reliance Jio Gigafiber, which was soon reacted to by Airtel as the company has reduced prices of entire broadband bouquet. It needs to be noted that, the benefits provided by Airtel in their broad plans differs periodically. At Airtel, you can save up to 15% in 6- month and up to 20% on 1-year broadband plans.

Let’s have a look at Airtel’s revised broadband plan.

Rs 799
 
Rs 799 monthly rental gives unlimited local and STD calls. Under this plan broadband data of massive 100GB data at a speed of 40 Mbps is offered. Bonus data of 500GB is also given up till October 31, 2018. It needs to be noted that, there is no data rollover
and Amazon Prime subscription service available in this.

For one month pack, a customer will pay up to Rs 799 only, however, for 6 months the prices are slashed down by 15% to Rs 678 and by 20% to Rs 639 price for 12 months.

One can avail this pack at one-time payment of Rs 4,070 for entire six months and Rs 7,670 for entire 12 months.

The extent of applicability of the said Plan, the usage by an individual customer and the entitlement of the Free Subscription Internet is subject to the network feasibility in the area of residence of the interested customer. The network feasibility of the specific area shall be communicated to the customer at the time of sale.

Reliance Jio

Starting from August 15th, a customer can start registering interest for JioGigaFiber through both MyJio and Jio.com.

JIO GIGAFIBER will be the largest greenfield fixed-line broadband rollout anywhere in the world, with rollout happening in 1,100 cities of India simultaneously.

However, there is not much clarity mentioned in Jio Gigafiber which is set to come. Right now it is being run as beta trials in tens of thousands of homes.
