Mukesh Ambani led Reliance Jio has continued to disrupt telecom market with heavy data, unlimited voice calls offers and many other freebies, thereby hurting other telecom operators further. In the latest headline, it has been revealed that RJio is now looking to capture wired broadband space by giving 1.1TB of free data at a speed of 100mbps in JioFiber plans.

According to The Hindu report, RJio has started offering ultra high-speed fibre to the home (FTTH) broadband connections with 1.1 terabytes (TB) of free data at speeds of 100 megabits per second (mbps) in select markets in the country. The carrier is likely to roll out commercial services in the second half of this year.

Reportedly sources told the new agency that, initial FTTH plan includes 100 gigabytes (GB) of free data at 100 mbps speed; once the data limited is exhausted, the customers can do top-up of 40 GB of free data 25 times in a month, effectively meaning 1,100 GB of free data a month.

The security deposit of Rs 4500 is taken for the ONT device (GigaHub Home Gateway) provided by Jio. 

The deposit will be refunded if you choose to discontinue using the JioFiber services, provided the installed devices are returned in good and working condition.

When asked about the latest development. The company declined to comment.
