InterGlobe Aviation's (IndiGo Airline) net profit for its third quarter ended December 31, 2016 decreased 25% to stand at Rs 487.25 crore.

Operating profit (EBITDA) stood at Rs 1460.54 crore, down by 12.89% versus Rs 1676.81 crore in Q3FY16. 

EBITDA margin stood at 29.3%, contracting by 970 basis points on year-on-year (yoy). 

However, total income from operations stood at Rs 4986.49 crore, increasing by 16% from a year ago same period. 

Aditya Ghosh, Whole-time Director of Indigo said, "We have reported yet another profitable quarter despite lower yields and higher fuel prices. We see robust traffic ahead and we will continue to grow and strengthen our network with a view to maximizing our long term profitability. 

Key Highlights of Indigo's Q3 were:

Increased fleet size to 126 aircraft.

Operated peak of 854 daily flights including international operations.

The company had a technical dispatch reliability of 99.85%, on-tim performance of 71.7% at four key metros and flight cancellation rate of 1.69%. 

Indigo said, "It expects fleet of 133 at the end of current fiscal year, year-over-year ASK increase is expected to be 25% in Q4."
