Infosys Q1 FY2425 Results: Attrition rate up sequentially at India's second-largest IT firm
The number of software professionals in the company dipped to 2,98,123 in the June quarter compared to 2,99,814 quarter-on-quarter (QoQ). The Bengaluru-headquartered company had 3,36,294 software professionals year-on-year (YoY).
Infosys Q1 FY2425 Results: The attrition rate at IT giant Infosys saw a rise in the April-June (FY202425) quarter compared to the quarter ended March 31, 2024. The large-cap IT firm announced its first-quarter results on Thursday (July 18, 2024), showing that the attrition rate in the reported quarter has increased to 3,15,332 against 3,17,240. The company had 3,36,294 employees in the same quarter last fiscal.

The company reported 17,209 employees in sales and support for the June quarter compared to 17,426 employees in the previous quarter.
The IT firm had 12.70 per cent voluntary attrition in IT service. The same was 12.60 per cent in the January-March quarter.
In the June 2023 quarter, it was 17.30 per cent.
The percentage of women employees also dipped to 39.20 per cent in the quarter under review compared to 39.30 per cent QoQ.
It was 39.50 per cent for the June quarter in the previous fiscal.
Infosys Q1 results
In Q1, the IT firm reported revenue from operations at Rs 39,315 crore, a 3.6 per cent rise year-on-year, while the Zee Business research team anticipated the figure at Rs 38,900 crore.
In the previous March-ended quarter, the firm's consolidated revenue was recorded at Rs 37,923 crore.
Revenue at the digital services and consulting firm registered a 3.6 per cent uptick sequentially to $4,714 million, while it rose 2.5 per cent on-year in constant currency terms.
