Indian Hotels Q2 Results Preview: The Tata Group hotel company is set to capitalise on the increased bookings during the G20 summit last month to clock higher numbers as it reports its second-quarter results on Friday (October 27), as per Zee Business research.
Analysts estimate the company's consolidated profit after tax (PAT) to jump by 43.4 per cent to Rs 175 crore in the September quarter of this fiscal compared to Rs 122 crore the same quarter last year.
The company's revenue from operations may also jump by 16 per cent to Rs 1,430 crore in the quarter under review from Rs 1,233 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
The hotel company registered an exceptional gain of Rs 12 crore last year, and it can lead the firm's margin to jump to 25.9 per cent in Q2 from 23.9 per cent in the same quarter last fiscal.
Research estimates Indian Hotels' EBIDTA to rise to Rs 370 crore in the quarter under review from Rs 294 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, which translates into a rise of 25.7 per cent.
Indian Hotels' revenue per room, its average room rate of occupancy, is also expected to soar 12 per cent in the September quarter to Rs 8,610 Year-on-Year.
As far as the result commentary of the company is concerned, investors need to keep an eye on the outlook on the domestic leisure segment and international business.
The factors that can also be considered in its commentary are the new hotel launches in the pipeline, while its outlook for its food delivery business, Qmin, and its branded homestays, Ama Stays and Trails, is also something to watch out for.
Indian Hotels Share Price
A day ahead of the results of Indian Hotels, the company's shares closed down by 3.43 per cent, or Rs 13.35, at Rs 376.10 each on BSE on Thursday.
