IndiaLends appoints ex Tata Capital CFO and COO Govind Sankaranarayanan as independent director
Govind Sankaranarayanan, former Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Tata Capital, has joined IndiaLends as an Independent Director.
Govind Sankaranarayanan, former Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Tata Capital, has joined IndiaLends as an Independent Director. Govind is presently co-founder of ESG investment firm ECube Investment Advisors. IndiaLends is a digital lending and borrowing marketplace.
Sankaranarayanan is an alumnus of BITS Pilani, IIM Bangalore and London Business School. He helped co-found Tata Capital in 2007. Under his leadership, Tata Capital’s Retail and Housing Finance business grew to Rs 34,000 crore and employee strength to over 4,000.
Sankaranarayanan was at the forefront of Tata’s globalisation efforts at Tetley UK and Tata Communications in the US and Canada. Sankaranarayanan was a member of the Banking and Finance Committee of the Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Economic Affairs and Accounting Standards and Private Equity Committees of the CII, committees of the RBI.
