City gas distribution company – Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) hiked CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) prices by Rs 2 per kg in Delhi-NCR and adjoining areas effective from Saturday, May 21, 2022, as per Zee Business Senior Correspondent Ambarish Pandey’s report.

With the latest hike, CNG price in Delhi is retailing at Rs 75.61 per kg, while it costs Rs 78.17 per kg in Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad. And in Gurugram, it will cost Rs 83.94 per kg -- the highest among all places in Delhi NCR.

Similarly, In other adjoining areas of Delhi-NCR, the gas will cost now Rs 86.07 per kg in Rewari and in Karnal and Kaithal, the gas price has increased to Rs Rs 84.27 per kg.

Also, CNG price in Kanpur, Hamirpur, and Fatehpur now stands at Rs 87.40 per Kg. and its has increased to Rs 85.88 per Kg in Ajmer, Pali and Rajsamand.

The IGL had increased gas prices last week too, which is in the backdrop of rising global oil and gas prices amid Russia’s intervention in Ukraine. Gas distributors have hiked CNG and PNG prices on a regular basis since October 2022.

In April, Mahanagar Gas Limited, (MGL) had increased the CNG prices by Rs 4 per Kg.
