The telecom arm of the Aditya Birla Group, Idea Cellular has rolled out its 'Nirvana' postpaid plans to compete with Reliance Jio, Airtel and Vodafone.
 
Idea introduced Nirvana plans 'silently' as per a report by TelecomTalk. The postpaid plans start at Rs 389 and it offers unlimited voice calls and just incoming roaming calls. 
 
All the plans offer 100 local and national SMS per day for the entire billing period, the report said. The plan also includes 10GB data. Other plans by the company include Rs 499 plan which offers 20GB data. 
 
Higher priced plans provide more data for the billing cycle.
 
The Rs 649 plan provides 35GB, the Rs 999 Nirvana plan offers 60GB, the Rs 1,299 Idea Postpaid plan gives 85GB data, the Rs 1,699 postpaid plan offers 110GB data, the Rs 1,999 Nirvana postpaid plan provides 135GB, and lastly, the Rs 2,999 postpaid plan gives 220GB data per billing cycle. 
 
For those who are not big on internet data consumption, Idea has also introduced the 'data rollover' scheme like Airtel. 
 
Customers with Nirvana postpaid plan of Rs 1,699 and above can accumulate maximum data of 500GB, while customers with Nirvana plan Rs 1,299 and below can accumulate 200GB on their account, the report added.
 
Vodafone, which also tweaked its RED postpaid plans to include more data, is offering subscribers 20GB additional data on its RED TOGETHER plan.
