Ice cream brand Dairy Day has forayed into Maharashtra as part of its expansion drive, a top company official said Wednesday. The company currently has significant presence in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka and manufactures about 150 products in 30 flavours. Dairy Day is now available in various cities in Maharashtra including Pune, Kolhapur, Beed, Satara and at 2,000 outlets.

"Dairy Day is known to offer unique, innovative value for money products to consumers. This expansion into Maharashtra marks a new beginning for the company," company Co-Founder, M N Jaganath said.

India is one of the fastest growing ice-cream markets in the world growing at 13-14 per cent CAGR and Maharashtra was one of the largest markets in the country, he said. "The expansion is a significant step towards establishing a pan India presence for Dairy Day", he said.

The company currently has two state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Karnataka spread across two lakh square foot and supplies 150 products in over 30 flavours, it added.
