Amid the rising Covid-19 cases in the country, everyone is trying their level best to support each other. Either by donations, supplying foods, donating plasma, etc. Now, the food delivering app Zomato has come forward for help and support.

As per a report by Zeenews.india.com, Zomato is providing medical supplies to equip the state governments and supporting agencies to curb the spread of the virus and combat it effectively and efficiently.

As part of Mission Sanjeevani which has recently been launched by the Central Government, the delivery boys of the company will now supply medical kits by the health department to Covid-19 patients located in Noida who are under home isolation.

According to the report, the District Magistrate of Gautam Buddha Nagar Suhas Lalinakere Yathiraj flagged off the first batch of medical kits which were being supplied by Zomato delivery boys.

Earlier, the district administration used to issue a medical prescription to nearly 4,000 patients who were confined in home isolation and these patients would have to buy the medicine supplies by themselves.

But due to the containment and home isolation, now Zomato delivery boys have come forward to help such patients. The medical kit supplied by them contains vitamin C, vitamin D, paracetamol, Azithromycin, doxy zinc tablets. The delivery system will be constantly monitored by the health department.

People who are infected with the virus and are under home isolation can order these medical kits and it will be delivered to them at their home. This step has been taken in order to make sure that people do not step out of their homes and those who are in isolation can get support and help.

To avail the kits, people will have to reach out to the district administration and the needful will be done by it.

As per the latest information, India has recorded 4,03,738 fresh Covid-19 cases and 4,092 deaths in the last 24 hours ending 8 AM, Sunday. The total caseload in the country is over 2.18 crore. Out of the total caseload, over 37.36 lakh cases are currently active. The top contributors include Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, among others.
