Board of Hindustan Zinc (HZL) is scheduled to meet on July 8, Saturday to consider paying an interim dividend for the current fiscal year (23-24) to its shareholders.

The Vedanta group subsidiary has already fixed the record date for interim dividend payment as July 15, 2023, Saturday.
"We wish to inform you that the meeting of the Board of Directors of the company will be held on Saturday, July 08, 2023, to consider an interim dividend on equity shares, if any, for the financial year 2023-24," the company informed the bourses.
If finalised, this will be the 40th dividend (as per the data shown on Trendlyne) of Hindustan Zinc Ltd since June 28, 2001. According to Trendlyne data, this results in a dividend yield of 23.65 percent. In the last year, Hindustan Zinc has declared an equity dividend of Rs 75.50 per share.

With the current price share of 332.9 at 2:55 PM raised by nearly 7 per cent, Hindustan Zinc shares opened on Thursday at Rs 316 on NSE. Hindustan Zinc shares have risen up 35% in the last year one year (July 6, 2022), compared to a 22 per cent rise in the equity benchmark Nifty.
